After 15 days of heavy snowfalls I was starting to think that “the end of the world” prophecies they were all talking about could come due to too much snow!
Fortunately”The end of world” did not happen and instead we were able to have another awesome day on the mountain..”one of those days” in fact.
After so much heavy snowfall the weather had finally given us a break and we were able to go up to the upper part of the hill.
We rode the passerella and hangar couloirs to the Toula Glacier, all the way down to the tunnel, 2100 meters of untracked powder.

On the 2nd lap we tried to ride under the cables but as soon as Dave put his skis on the face, the entire top snow layer collapsed in a massive slide.
This is one of the most dangerous places in the massif. There is a weird vibe due to the several accidents that have happened in the past years and what we had just witnessed was enough to make us turn back.
We decided to ride the Dario Couloir instead and in the end realised that this was the good call.
